Our return and refund policy is designed to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction when hiring our earthmoving machinery. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations.
Hire Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Customer
Cancellation Before Delivery: Customers may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time without incurring any charges. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's hire charge.
Cancellation After Delivery: If the machinery has already been delivered and the customer decides to cancel the hire, the customer will be charged for the full hire period as per the agreed terms in the hire contract

West Plant Hire reserves the right to cancel any hire agreement if the machinery becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances or if the customer breaches any terms of the hire contract. In such cases, a full refund will be provided for any advance payments made.
Refund Policy
Refund Eligibility
Refunds will be issued under the following circumstances:
- Machinery is not delivered as scheduled due to a fault on our part.
- The machinery delivered is not as described or is not in working condition.
- If the machinery fails during the hire period due to mechanical issues not caused by customer negligence or misuse.
Refund Process
Inspection: Upon receiving a refund request, West Plant Hire will inspect the machinery to determine the cause of the issue. If the issue is found to be due to mechanical failure or any fault on our part, a refund will be processed.
Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the inspection is complete and the refund is approved.
Payment Method: Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original hire transaction.
Equipment Return Policy
Return Condition
The machinery must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered, subject to normal wear and tear. Any damage caused by customer negligence, misuse, or failure to follow operating instructions will result in additional charges for repair or replacement.
Return Inspection
Upon return, the machinery will be inspected by a West Plant Hire representative to assess its condition. Customers will be informed of any issues identified during the inspection.
Late Returns
Late returns will incur additional hire charges as per the agreed terms in the hire contract. Customers must notify West Plant Hire in advance if they anticipate a delay in returning the machinery.
Customer Responsibilities
Proper Use
Customers are responsible for the proper use and maintenance of the machinery during the hire period. Any damage caused by improper use, negligence, or failure to follow operating instructions will result in additional charges.
Reporting Issues
Customers must report any mechanical issues or faults with the machinery immediately to West Plant Hire. Continued use of faulty machinery may result in further damage and additional charges.
